Epidermal Veil‘s debut EP took Icelandic Technical Death Metal to a new level; produced during the pandemic, in the geographically isolated location of Reykjavik, Iceland, the band held nothing back in telling the story of the cosmic deity Ursath and his descent upon Earth. Running the gauntlet of various death metal influences, it’s a ride worth taking.
Now to close out 2024, the EP is available on transparent blue vinyl, a colour reminiscent of the landscapes of their homeland.
Epidermal Veil features members of Devine Defilement, and is recommended for fans of Obscura, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Beyond Creation.
