Toxic Soul was born in the city of Guayaquil in 2010, founded by José Estupiñán, Víctor Mejía, Christofer Jaramillo, and Freddy Chacón, and forged between violent riffs and a rage that only thrash metal can spit out.
From their earliest days, the band found in the harshness of reality the raw material for their lyrics: natural disasters, plagues, epidemics, and the eternal protest against a rotten world.
With that corrosive essence, the group began making their way through local stages and even cities where their music found an echo among the sick devotees of the mosh pit. Quito became their second home, a battlefield where they shared stages with established bands and where they solidified their path.
In their early years, Toxic Soul recorded an ambient demo and a studio pre-album titled “En Estado de Descomposición” (In a State of Decomposition), produced at Hum Go Hz The Recording Room, leaving the first mark of their musical fury.
In 2018, the band faced a blow to their lineup: vocalist Kenry had to leave the country and, consequently, the group. But the flame didn’t die out, as Jared Piñeiros took his place, fitting brutally into the sonic machinery while keeping Toxic Soul’s corrosive essence intact.
When the pandemic paralyzed the world, the band didn’t give up. Despite the restrictions, they kept rehearsing, composing new songs, and participating in underground events, resisting amid chaos like true thrash maniacs.
In 2023, history twisted again: guitarist Doko was forced to leave the band for personal reasons. However, months later David Valverde joined as the current guitarist, bringing with him an arsenal of fresh and dark ideas that breathed new life into Toxic Soul’s sound.
Finally, in March 2025, the band embarked on a new chapter in Tumbaco, where they began recording their first official album titled “Visiones Putrefactas” (Putrid Visions) at Zavage Music Lab. During two weeks of marathon sessions, they crafted 10 anthems loaded with fast, aggressive, and poisonous riffs, maintaining the thrasher tradition that has always distinguished them.
Toxic Soul is not just a band, it’s a cry of resistance. Forged in adversity, fed by rage, and sustained by the brotherhood of its members, they remain standing to unleash chaos on every stage where their name is heard.
