It is unknown how deep in the bowels of the Earth 2008’s Sub Templum resided – an exercise in the esoteric, subterranean and extreme doom like no other… but with its echoes still vibrating the cores, Moss rise once more, from the Tombs of the Blind Drugged. Recorded at the end of 2008 Tombs of the Blind Drugged redefines (but by no means softens) Moss’ approach as they return to a more primitive, vintage sounding production courtesy once more of Foel Studios in Wales. Since forming in Southampton in 2001, Moss have carved their own morbid niche within the underground with a number of extremely hard to find demo and split recordings, and two monstrous and acclaimed albums, Cthonic Rites (2005) and Sub Templum (2008).

With Tombs of the Blind Drugged, Moss’ unique brand of extremity and terror now reaches new depths as monolithic riffs and gut wrenching vocals wreck and bludgeon but with an added sense for the melodic, and through the use of organ and mysterious chants atmospheres become ever more dense…three tracks alchemically distilled to a total purification of Occult Horror Doom. The turning of ‘Skeletal Keys’ introduces you to the Tombs, opening terrifying vistas left untouched since ‘Gate III’ of Sub Templum was shut…

On ‘Tombs of the Blind Drugged’ horror, history and the occult collide in a nod to the films of Amando De Ossorio, as a sect of Templar knights adopt the esoteric drug rites and rituals of the Hashshashin…

‘Eternal Return’ is the end and the beginning of the cycle, the revolving of the serpent and the return to future past. What was is what is what will always be…

Enter the Tombs of the Blind Drugged…A devastating account of secret teachings, unspoken sciences and mind controlling riffs.
