Old School Swedish Death Metal from Östersund in Sweden! Using the maxed out HM-2 guitar sound, Gut Ripper has its feet firmly planted in the early 90s extreme metal scene.
The band’s second album, Necrowork, was recorded in their rehearsal space using real live amplifiers and acoustic drums. In other words, maxed out HM-2 distortion pedals, distorted bass, a proper drum set, and a lot of grit and elbow grease! The song Born to Rot was written in honour of the band’s late bass player, Anders Eklund, who passed away from cancer in April 2020. Necrowork is the band in all its dirty glory, and was made to honour those who are no longer with us.
