Formed back in 2000 by Tiziano Marcozzi (Vocals/Guitar) and Gino Palombi (Bass) after Maelstrom (band formed by Tiziano Marcozzi and Luca Bianchi in 1995 and active until 1997) split up. The intent was to create a very technical and personal metal, influenced by bands like Coroner, Death, Cynic, Annihilator, Helstar.
We wrote the first songs in 2001 when Alessandro Croce (guitarist and ex Maelstrom) and Piero Arioni (Drums) joined the band. With that formation, in the summer of 2002, the band entered the studio for the recordings of the first four tracks mini CD /promo “Duality Conflicts”, (Top Demo review on Rock Hard), and soon after, we started our live activity.
In 2005 a second demo CD, “Seizure of Rationality” follows, containing what will become part of the first full length in a couple of years. 2006 saw the completion of the arrangements and structure of our first full length, “The Orwell Legacy”, recorded at 16th Cellar Studios (Rome) at the end of 2007 and published by Zero Substance Records in the 2008. The album focuses on the mind control and human conspiracies in an Orwellian world (hence the name of the album). More technical structures were introduced to enrich the sound and the riffings retained our trademark for future albums to come.
Alessandro Croce left the band at the end of the same year and was replaced by Leonardo Noschese (2008-2011). We began writing the arrangements for our second album along with more live activities which saw the band as an opening act for Paul Di Anno, Winger and Saxon.
In 2011, Alfredo Gargaro joined as the second guitarist after Leonardo left, and the band recorded “Forces of Denial”, our second full length, at the end of 2014, by Punishment 18 Records. The album was the natural evolution of the previous one, and the riffing more tight and melodic. Focusing the lyrical aspects on alien forces conjoined with conspiracies theories and human evolution steps, it gained many excellent review and international distribution.
In 2016, Luca Bianchi (bass and ex Maelstrom) enters the formation, first as a temporary substitute and then on a permanent basis. Slightly before Covid hit, we wrote our third album “Non Euclidean” (Punishment 18 Records), focused entirely on cosmic horrors of Lovecraftian nature and how they relate with human evolution and multidimensional projections, The album is characterized by a more dark overall imprinting, the theme is more obscure and the vocals follow a more harsh and guttural direction, describing well what the lyrics tell, with clean vocals playing the role of choruses here and there.
Left in three (Tiziano, Luca and Piero), we wrote “The Onyx Path” (2022) EP, which saw the light at the beginning of 2022. A new EP featuring five tracks (including a Death cover), which follows the Thrash/Death route of the previous album. There are some traditional vibes to it and fast and violent accelerations.
Just after the realization of the EP Giuseppe Marinelli (ex Neverdream), joins the band and the work on the new album “Vertenebra” reaches its completion. The new Album was recorded at the end of 2023.
