Jon and Kvalvaag have joined forces once more, and are eager to give us a solid dose of old school black metal under the Valgaldr banner. With the debut album titled Østenfor Sol they plan on taking us back to the 90s, as the album consists of old school black metal in the same vein as the first wave of the Norwegian black metal era. They’re following the strict rules of the 90s, with no synth, cold guitars and a necro production. The album was recorded in Oslo
