Ugra Karma is a death metal band formed in Kathmandu, Nepal in 1999. They were the first band to play metal music in the country, and are known as metal icons in South Asia, having performed at various metal festivals not only in Asia but also in the United States, Europe, and other parts of the world.
DTD Records has been in contact with Dr. Sunil Dev Pant, the band’s founding member. And finally we are pleased to announce the official re-release of their masterpiece “Blood Metal Initiation”, which is currently hard to find!!
Their first full album “Blood Metal Initiation” (Original released in 2001) is based on old school death metal and mixes elements to bestial black metal, and is considered a masterpiece. However, it has been out of print since its original release and has remained extremely difficult to find. For this reissue, one bonus track (another take of a song from the second full-album) has been added, and it has been remastered at Studio Nest. Other bonus content includes an interview with Dr. Sunil Dev Pant and a logo sticker is also included.
