Description
The fifth full-length album of the duo from Kaliningrad was not long in coming! From the very first chords the listener finds himself among the vivid colors of this musical canvas inviting into the fantasy world of the Middle-earth. Hasteless choral singing alternates with piercing screams, wind and stringed instruments lose ground to black metal riffs and military drum rhythms – as a result, the album gladdens fans with diversity once again. To be blunt, it would be stretching a point to qualify the music of MOONGATES GUARDIAN as metal in the full sense of the word. It is more likely a soundtrack or a play about the world of hobbits and elves. There is no typical song structure: extreme sections storm into the solemn symphonic opuses composed of medieval etudes, spoken interludes and ambient sketches of different stories and moods. MOONGATES GUARDIAN keeps up the tradition of putting a cover version of some famous song to the album. This time it is BLIND GUARDIAN with their “The Lord of the Rings” who fall the victims of musical interpretation of the band.
