Formed in 2018, China-based underground metal act ANATHEMATISE (a.k.a. DUGU, 毒蠱) combines themes from Shaw Brothers films with aggressive death/thrash metal, creating a distinctive extreme metal vibe.
After a series of demos, EPs, and their acclaimed debut album, “Bizarre Tales from the Past and the Future,” released in 2023, ANATHEMATISE is back with their second full-length album. This time, they focus on intricate technical arrangements that showcase their raw, intense deathrash metal sound.
