Biography
Born of Fire. Forged in Chaos. Resurrected from Oblivion.
Raised in the filthy streets and rotting slums of Philadelphia, NECROTION crawled into existence in 1990, a festering wound in the underground metal scene. With a sound as raw and violent as the streets that birthed them, they forged a path of unrelenting chaos and destruction, fueled by influences like Venom, Slayer, Possessed, Voivod, Morbid Angel, Nuclear Death, Repulsion, and Autopsy – the true architects of sonic devastation.
NECROTION’s lyrics were not for the weak, plunging deep into the madness of war, religious corruption, suffering, depravity, torture, and inevitable doom. With the release of their first demo, “Fallen Salvation” (1991), NECROTION carved their name into the underground through the bloodstained art of tape trading and relentless live assaults. Their blunt-force brutality earned them stage time alongside some of the era’s heaviest titans: Incantation, Unleashed, Entombed, Goreaphobia, Crucifier, Vital Remains, Phlegm, Profanatica, Immolation, Mortician, and more.
In 1992, they unleashed the “Prelude to Apocalypse” 7″ through After World Records, a warning shot to the world: NECROTION had arrived, and the end was near. But then, silence. Forces beyond their control forced NECROTION into dormancy. The world may have thought them buried, but the grave was never deep enough…
Decades later, the rotting beast has clawed back to life. NECROTION rises once more, hungrier and more merciless than ever. Lead by founding members John Litchko and Joe Young. NECROTION will drag your stinking corpse through the burning flames of Perdition. With riffs sharper than a rusted bone saw, drums like distant artillery leveling a city, and a sound that forces listeners into the molten pits of oblivion, NECROTION is here to finish what they started.
There is no mercy. No compromise. Only death.
