Biography
Forged over a decade ago in the desolate wasteland known as Thunder Bay, Ontario, VHS has been a consistent, tongue-in-cheek pain in the underground metal scene’s ass.
Born out of a love for nostalgia, VHS (Violent Homicidal Slasher) has kept alive the desire to show homage, respect, and poke more than just a bit of fun burning brightly over the course of eight full length albums and even more splits, singles and EPs. The love of old school metal and video rental culture runs deep, but the band is never afraid to take chances and has consistently pushed to try new and unique things with each release while maintaining the raw, DIY spirit they embodied from day one.
