Biography
Mausolent has been in the making since late 2019, and it finally materialized in 2026 with our first demo, Stench of Death.
The main idea has always been to honor Swedish Death Metal, and of course the mighty HM-2, while honoring bands like Entombed, God Macabre, Macabre End, Nihilist, Traumatic, Dismember, Crematory, and Authorized, among others. In the beginning, we had a small list of band names and Mausolent just stood out to us. From there some lyrics were written, later to be used on our first demo.
In December of 2024, on a drinking night, the idea of picking up where we left off came to us. We started moving forward and months later our first band practice happened. It felt really good, and so we continued working on songs. Once the songs were ready, we tried to include a vocalist and a drummer, however, even though it was sounding good, something never really clicked, so Mausolent went on hold once again. Finally in 2025, band practice restarted and our demo Stench of Death was recorded, only by the two of us – Diego and Tomas.
As of now, Mausolent is working on an EP and new songs, and having a drink or two while at it. Both the Demo and the EP will be available digitally and physically. STAY TUNED, STAY BURIED!
