Description

present the debut album by SLYTHERIN (CA, USA). The name of the band itself suggests that this musical work is a kind of reference to the novels by the famous British author Joanne Kathleen Rowling. The concept of the lyrics is directly related to the novels about the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the inhabitants of this fantasy world. The soundscapes created by the band are rather complex and can be attributed to atmospheric black metal when it comes to vocals and the music itself. However SLYTHERIN are primarily focused on creating a coherent picture of their narrative and therefore the band often goes beyond the standard black metal sound aesthetics. The original soundtracks to screen adaptations can be discovered on the album in a more or less obvious form along with the dialogues that fit perfectly into the overall picture, not to mention catchy melodies the album is topped with. This release is addressed to both Harry Potter fans and those fans of high-quality atmospheric metal who may never have read a single book about this character.
