Description
Carnal savagery was founded in 2017 by Mikael Lindgren and Henrik Jansson. They had previously played together in a band called Cromlech from 1988 to 1994. During Cromlech, they released some demos that were actually well known in the underground scene. They also played extensively live in the early 90s with such famous bands as Entombed, Dismember, Meshuggah, Therion, Tiamat and Merciless.
In early 2017, Mikael started making some old school death metal songs and asked Henrik if they should re-form the band. For a while, they considered whether they should use the name Cromlech, but after some thought, they decided to start over with a new name. Patrik Eriksson was asked to add guitar and Mattias Lilja on vocals. In September 2019, they recorded their first demo, which was eerily terrifying.
